David Field

David Field joined The Synergy Group in 1998 with Daniel Hanlon to establish the training division. After graduating from Cardiff University with a degree in business administration in 1996, David specialised in IT services for the public sector. In 1998 David joined Synergy as a senior consultant and rapidly rose to the role of director. Over the next six years David co-developed the strategy for moving the training division from a small enterprise to the UK’s 15th largest IT training provider.
Jane McCarthy

Jane McCarthy has worked with Training Synergy as a Training Project Manager since October 2005 and is able to capitalise on over 10 years of experience as a trainer, courseware developer, project manager, e-learning developer and training consultant. Prior to this she worked for IBM’s training division where she was responsible for the development and delivery of training solutions to support technology rollouts for end users. Working with customers across various industries on a wide range of engagements, Jane was responsible for managing all phases of training projects, including assessment, design, communication, development, delivery, support and evaluation, using a variety of delivery mechanisms such as instructor-led, e-learning and post implementation support.
Neil Dawson

Prior to joining Synergy in January 2005, Neil worked directly in Local Government Revenues and Benefits departments for over 12 years – with his last role being Benefits Team Manager. He is currently a manager of the team responsible for Recruitment and Training solutions for Local Authority Revenues and Benefits services. These include the Kickstart recruitment and training programme, Revenues and Benefits Legislation and Systems Training, Business Skills and Management Training, Unlimited access to Revenues and Benefits training material and the Synergy REGS online product.
Neal Blakes

Neal Blakes has been working for Training Synergy as a Training Service Delivery Manager for the last 10 years. The role has involved Trainer resourcing and management for a number of multi-million pound IT Training programmes. Most notably the delivery of projects for Connecting for Health, The Home Office and many other public and private sector organisations.
Kim Ruckwied

Kim has 9 years experience working in the Human Resources sector specialising in Training, Recruitment and Retention. She first worked with Synergy in 2002 and has held several positions within this recruitment and training organisation. Currently a Service Delivery Manager, Kim has worked with numerous clients on providing large scale recruitment and retention programmes for traditionally difficult to recruit areas. Clients include Local Authorities Revenues and Benefits Departments, Care Organisations, Housing Associations and Outsource Providers. Skills excelled at include client and candidate relationship management, communication strategy implementation and delivery of high service levels. Understanding the client needs and matching the resource has been key to Kim’s success.
Lou Mooney
Training Project Manager

Lou has worked for Training Synergy since February 2008 as one of our Training Project Managers. He brings to this role over 15 years experience in the field of training, encompassing the entire training lifecycle including Training Needs Analysis, Course Design, Delivery and Evaluation, as well as being a qualified PRINCE 2 Practitioner. Lou has worked within many different industries such as Aerospace, Banking, Pharmaceutical and Education. It is this extensive background that allows him to draw considerably on his experiences when managing projects for our clients and ensure that projects are delivered within scope, on time and within budget. Committed to the improvement of standards within the field of training, Lou is also a qualified TPMA assessor and is one of the Trainers for our TPMA Kickstart Train the Trainer programme. He is currently pioneering the use of Virtual Classrooms and how to ensure that the learning experience remains at a sufficiently high quality.
Emma Green
Service Delivery Manager

Emma has been with Training Synergy for seven years managing the delivery of training to Local Authorities and organising our Kickstart campaigns in the North. Emma gained an excellent understanding of recruitment and selection with local government working alongside the Social Care and Housing Teams as a Recruitment Coordinator. Having been promoted to Training Coordinator, Emma worked closely with customers, analysing Training requirements and organising the training services. For the last two and a half years Emma has worked as a Service Delivery Manager coordinating the delivery of our Kickstart programmes across the Northern Region of the UK. In this role Emma coordinates and manages marketing campaigns, directs telephone screening programmes and runs the assessment days. Emma has helped deliver the Kickstart programme for customers in Housing, Social Care, Revenues and Benefits as well as a number of System Integrators.
