Kickstart Scheme – December 2008
Last autumn, we asked Synergy to run their Kickstart programme to recruit four new officers for our Housing & Council Tax Benefit team.
This was the first time we had used Kickstart and we found it very successful. The quality of candidates was high and we saved so much time through not having to be heavily involved with the advertising, interviewing and initial training process.
The Kickstart programme was excellent. Candidates were assessed throughout the course and the trainer gave us detailed observations on each of them in addition to their course results. Following the programme we selected four of the ten candidates to continue to work with us as Benefits Officers.
Within 4 weeks we decided that one of the four chosen candidates did not meet our criteria and Synergy dealt with this for us quickly and effectively. The remaining three candidates continue to work with us successfully.
We have been very pleased with the whole experience and would not hesitate to use Synergy again in the future.
