Training for Defence Systems

Training Synergy has a proven track record in delivering professional training services to support MoD technology upgrades and implementations.

We currently deploy a team of trainers, engaged through the ATLAS Consortium, to deliver training to support the MoD’s Defence Information Infrastructure (DII) implementation – a secure military network based on Microsoft Windows XP which is providing greater connectivity across the armed forces. Working in partnership with BroadSkill, Training Synergy is providing training resource in both delivery and coordination roles to support Increment 1 of this contract, awarded in 2005, which involves the delivery of training and ‘go live’ support to some 200,000 end users across 700 sites UK wide and overseas.  Our involvement will continue through to Increment 2a of the project when we expect our training team to number approximately 120 trainers.

Our pool of experienced trainers, many of them ex-service personnel themselves, are able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the MoD environment and culture and are adept at not only delivering the key messages of the training but are able to effectively convey the business benefits of the implementation and thereby win the hearts and minds of the trainees.  Our professionals are flexible in their approach; not only able to adapt to the inevitable fluctuations in a deployment schedule of this size but are also able to deliver training out of hours to fit in with the unique working environment of the military.

Training Synergy has also provided specialist training services to support several other MoD initiatives.  Most recently this included the planning, designing and development of courses and supporting documentation for a communications system.  This was subsequently cascaded through a ‘train the trainer’ approach to front line troops, enabling them to access online applications such as email, payroll and banking.
