Positive Communication

Communication is a skill that we all use every day, but seldom take the time to analyse.
- Positive Communication
Yet how we communicate with the vulnerable adults whom we support is essential in achieving positive outcomes. This is particularly so when working with people with learning disabilities, and individuals with other support needs where there may be a cognitive or communication impairment.
This one day course is intended to enable learners to explore how their communication has an impact on the way that others respond to them; the different ways in which individuals may communicate and receive messages; and how they can address the values and principles underpinning positive communication with those whom they support.
