This is a role of Training Manager for a large outsourcing company based in the West Midlands.  

The Training Manager fulfils a lead role in co-ordinating overall operational training provision for specific or multiple contracts to meet the changing needs of the business.  

Their objective is to ensure the delivery of a high quality training service, ensuring required standards are met across contracts or for the specified business area.  This will involve identifying training needs, planning/co-ordination, design and evaluation of programmes, as well as regularly monitoring and assessing the trainer standards within their team and of those delivering products owned by them.  Whilst the bulk of delivery will be driven by a team of Core Trainers, the role holder will however facilitate training as required (including soft skills).  

Key skills required are:  

  • Management of the training team
  • TNA
  • Design of Soft Skills, IT Training and Procedural Training
  • Quality control including best practice
  • Training planning and scheduling
  • Training
  • Training evaluation, producing reports and implementing changes
  • Supports Training and development activities associated withbids/new business
  • Client interface
  • Manage the personal performance and development of trainers
  • Responsible for the delivery of specific training related projects
